Serving at Cypress UMC
As disciples in Christ we are called to be His hands and feet. Whether you are available to serve daily, once a week, once a month, or a couple times of year, Cypress UMC has many opportunities for you to use your gifts that God has blessed you with.

Adopted Schools (Adam and Millsap Elementary)
When school starts back up again in the Fall 2016, we are going to need lots of volunteers for bus buddies, etc. Contact the church office for details.
Trustees Workday: Twice a year the Trustees host a workday to do work around the church property. Work done in the past include striping the parking lot, power washing the playground equipment, cleaning out closets, working with the landscape, mow the fields, pick up debris in the fields, categorizing fabric, and general organization. Contact email@example.com.
Flippers: Several times a year help is needed to flip the Ministry Acitivty Center. Taking down or setting up chairs and/or tables is the most common need.
Food Safety Manger: CUMC has a certified kitchen. To maintain its certification, certain criteria must be maintained (proper food storage and placement; temperatures, and food handling). For the kitchen to be used for food preparation, a certified food safety manager must be present. We will provide training (through an online interactive study) to those who volunteer.
Contact Trisha Morrison for more information and thanks for serving!

Radical Hospitality is one of our core values here at Cypress UMC and we are looking for friendly people to be leaders in moving our entire church toward a new culture where hospitality is more than a ministry, it is part of our DNA. We need a Radical Hospitality Team to be greeting our guests, answering any questions they might have and helping them feel at home here. Not very outgoing? Don't feel like the Radical Hospitality Team is right for you? It IS for you! You can help out by wearing your nametag and a smile, parking in the back lot, and holding the door open for others. There are TONS of ways you can show hospitality! If you are interested in being a part of this team, contact Rev. Joel McKinnon. Come and join the movement, church!
As fully devoted followers of Christ, missions isn't just something we do, it is who we are...it is a lifestyle. At Cypress UMC, we build relationships by impacting people, serve others by committing our time, and transform lives by showing God's love. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
